YWCA North Central Washington depends on a generous community to support our essential work to house homeless and low-income women and families and get them back on their feet to a safe and stable life. Many of our clients are victims of domestic violence, sometimes fleeing for their lives with little of their belongings. Sometimes we are supporting a woman who found herself in the difficult situation of homelessness through losing a job, a health crisis, or other life circumstances. Many women have children in their care and they are also affected deeply by the effects of homelessness. The generous support of individuals, businesses, foundations, and others is what keeps our housing, job training, case management services, and advocacy efforts coming to those in need 365 days a year.

We need YOU to VOLUNTEER!

Volunteering is a great way to give back to your community. YWCA NCW has an array of opportunities for you to become involved as much or as little as your schedule allows – recurring opportunities, special events, program support and more. We would love your help supporting the women and families we serve.

Ways to Volunteer

  • Thrift Store

    Our retail thrift store raises critical funds for our housing and economic programs - all proceeds from goods donated remain in our community. Help us receive, sort, price and stock clothing and item donations in our warehouse and store.

  • Community Outreach

    Spread the word about YWCA by posting or handing out YWCA flyers at various businesses and nonprofit partners in North Central Washington particularly to promote events, fundraisers, and volunteer opportunities.

  • Event Support

    Help us have successful fundraisers and mission-related events by supporting event operations prior to and on the day of our events.

  • Board of Directors

    Participate in the governance of YWCA NCW while furthering our mission. This volunteer position requires the ability to comit to attending monthly board meetings and take part in association activities and mission related events. There is a minimum board time commitment of one year.
