YWCA NCW empowers women, men, and children to break the cycle of economic insecurity and homelessness, and achieve self-sufficiency. Serving hundreds annually, our gender-inclusive programs and services include safe housing for women and children, outside case management services for all, external social and health services referrals, external referrals to housing coordination, rental assistance, legal support as well as a comprehensive job training and economic empowerment program. YWCA NCW is committed to helping individuals and families improve their economic status, obtain permanent housing, and secure lasting independence.

YWCA NCW’s housing programs include emergency shelter, transitional housing, and permanent supportive housing units.

Case Management
Dedicated and knowledgeable housing staff help clients navigate the complex web of resources available.

Enrichment and Resources
Weekly enrichment classes facilitated by YWCA NCW staff and community partners covering a variety of topics. Additional YWCA NCW resources include our shelf stable food and personal hygiene in-house pantry, and more!

Shop quality gently used items such as furniture, housewares, electronics, and clothing.

All items have been generously donated by members of our community.

Volunteer
Volunteer with us at the Thrift Store to help maintain the flow of donations.

We partner with nearly two-dozen organizations and agencies to provide clothing to the community’s most vulnerable.

A national initiative for a more just and inclusive world.

A celebration of black liberation and the abolishment of slavery in the United States.

Anti-Racism and Equity Training
Trainings and education on the topics around equity and inclusion.

EFSP
EFSP funding appropriated for FY 2025 has been frozen since January 2025, and no new funds are currently available for local distribution. Updates will be shared as federal guidance is received.
