Come learn something new in a variety of classes and workshops facilitated by community members. Expand your horizons with something useful in your everyday life in a relaxed and social environment. All classes are held in the Women’s Empowerment Center, located in the YWCA NCW offices at 212 First St. Wenatchee. Classes are weekly, on Tuesdays, at 1:00pm. There is no charge for these classes and all are invited to attend. *class information are subject to change
January 7th – Healthy Eating and Living. Make a soup, talk about some of the difficulties that arise in wintertime, and enjoy a light physical exercise.
January 14th – Handling Stress. Let’s face it, life is stressful. Talk about some ways to cope with or minimize the stress in your life.
January 21st – Budgeting and Credit. Saving doesn’t have to be difficult. An agent from Numeric Credit Union will be here to talk about simple steps to saving.
January 28th – Music and Contemplation. Let the live music of a hammered dulcimer soothe your soul.
February 4th – Envision your value. Examine, reflect and refine the core values that motivate your intentions.
February 11th – Get Crafty. Use this time to express your artistic talents. Class instructions at time of class. All materials provided.
February 18th – Recovery Tools. Talk about some of the adversities that come along with addiction.
February 25th – Do what you want to be. Increase self-awareness and examine how decisions are made.
March 3rd – Lunch and Icebreakers with YWCA Staff

March 17th – Healthy Relationships. Powerful vs. powerless behaviors in relationships.
March 24th – Job search part one. Skill identification, job search and perfecting applications.
March 31st – Job search part two. Ways to stay prepared for an interview.
